Vision through Education

Haven of Hope was founded by Samuel Davis in 2015 in an effort to relieve the suffering of the needy in and around Kampala, Uganda. Samuel began his extrodiary journey through life as part of a dsfunctional family that eventually left him on the streets of Kampala at the tender age of 8 years old. With no support the industious young boy soon learned how to provide for himself and began to climb his way out of poverty and lack. Learning that knowledge is strength, Samuel began to enroll in school when he had tuition money and when that ran out he went back to the streets to earn more, returning within a short period of time with more tuition money. Education may have come at a slow pace for Samuel but his unyielding efforts have paid off and he now has a Master’s Degree in Education and has risen to the lofty goal of National Director for Association of Christian Schools International in Uganda. Samuel travels worldwide to speak at conferences and seminars passing along his extensive knowledge of Uganada and the conditions affecting its vast population. Haven of Hope is the foundation Samuel built to begin educationg local children to empower individuals and families in Uganda through business and educational programs, raising up a community with a lifestyle reflecting Jesus Christ.
